New Year’s Eve is a day of reflection. We celebrate and we mourn the past year. This year has been full of ups and downs for me. I lost my Grandma, who was the last of my grandparents to leave this Earth. The little girl who made me a mother became an adult. I met Ken Crow who blessed me with my own little corner of the world to share with you all. That snowballed into meeting so many amazing people. I had my first experience with hackers. This year has been interesting for me, indeed.
As Americans, though, it hasn’t been the best of years. We’ve had to deal with mass shootings across our country and the ignorance that blames guns for it all. Not only are babies still being murdered, but abortion clinics are acting as chop shops selling parts. ISIS is alive and well in our home and we have a President who stands behind them. Hillary Clinton isn’t as tech-savvy as she thought. Plus, she’s running for President.
These are tough times for Christian Conservatives. Some days, it seems like a losing battle. Take heart, though. God has a plan and He is in absolute control. The free will of humans has all but destroyed our world, but God is working out the best for those who believe in Him and follow Him. It is an election year. Change is coming. We will enter into this new year recharged and ready to battle for what is good and right for our country.
I don’t know what 2016 will bring, but I am looking forward to what God has in store for me and my family, as well as our great nation. He does have a plan for our future.
I wish you all a happy and blessed 2016! Thank you so much for reading and supporting me, and for allowing me into your home! Each of you is a blessing to me! Cheers to the New Year!
“I’ve told you all this so that trusting Me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.” ~John 16:33
“Unshakable. Assured. Deeply at peace. My prayer for you my friend, as we approach 2016—straight from the mouth of Jesus. Be resolute in your trust. He’s got your back and your future.” ~Kathy Troccoli
P.S. I have a friend who is celebrating his birthday today. He’s been a pretty special part of my life for more than a decade. This guy knows me better than most and has loved me in spite of that! He has been one of my biggest supporters in this endeavor, so it seems only appropriate to give him a shout out here! Happy Birthday, Mike! I love ya and wish you the best birthday yet!
